People are having problems with the forums - we recently changed hosts where the forums lived, and are aware that there are still issues with the changeover. There are some weird things going on with the links that we’re looking into. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
Also, I’m aware that currently (2:10 EST, Jan 20) the server that hosts the podcasts seems to be down. I’ve reported it. If you’re worried the announcement is something like podcast-ending bad, I assure you, it’s not. ![]()
Hey guys - I am reviving the ISBW Facebook Group, head on over there if you want to discuss writing with other wanna-bes!
Hey everyone-
I have a raw ISBW I need to edit and get online. My computer locked up right before I went on vacation, so there was considerable radio silence on this end, and for that I’m sorry. I PROMISE I will get a pre-NaNoWriMo episode up before November 1! It may be raw and without effects, but it’ll be up!
(And THANK YOU again to Christopher for the interview with Kim Harrison so the podcast wasn’t so bereft of content!)
In the meantime, check these pages out:
I Should Be Writing won the 2007 Parsec for Best Writing Podcast this past weekend at Dragon*Con! I was shocked to win, considering the fine company I was in (including Tracy and Laura Hickman’s DragonHearth and Michael A. Stackpole’s The Secrets - the latter of which was an inspiration to ISBW). It was a wonderful weekend and congratulations to all the excellent podcasters who were nominated.
Wow.
This week I got two rejections… from the same agency. I must have queried them twice, but I can’t for the life of me figure out where I went wrong. The agency isn’t in my notes twice. But they had two SASE’s from me, so…
I haven’t done a huge bit of updating lately - I’m down to two agents reading fulls, and fourteen not responding at all. I’ve pinged one agent reading a full and he said to query again at the end of the month. Sigh. Man, they say writing is hard. Writing isn’t hard. All this frikkin’ WAITING is hard.
I guess I should go write more.
New ISBW this weekend. Maybe two!
Hi guys! the issues with the blog got to be enough that I moved to wordpress. I know it’s a change, and the feed will be odd with only the last several eps on there, but things shoule be smoother now. I do know the page doesn’t look terribly exciting, and most of my sidebar stuff will return, but I just wanted to make the blog work.
Thanks for your patience, I’ll be tweaking throughout the week.
Reminder- you can listen live to the podcast Writers Talking tomorrow at 5pm Eastern Time. Download the TalkShoe setup and join in in the conversation with me, JC Hutchins, Tee Morris, and Matthew Wayne Selznick!
I wanted to post a podcast letting you know what was up with me, my podcasts, and my life. Why the podcast has been spotty and my plans for 2007.
So I did.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

I upgraded the blog to Blogger beta. I guess it was all the peer pressure from blogger.
And they republished my blog.
Which made the RSS think that I had posted a bunch of new podcasts.
Sigh.
So if you just downloaded a ton of old podcasts, I am very sorry.
Sorry.
Good luck to all NaNoWriMo participants!
