Still no look back at 2011 yet, but I can look ahead at least a week or 2.

I’m heading to Maine tomorrow to start my first semester as a grad student at the Stonecoast MFA program. This means several things.

  • I will LEARN THINGS! YAY!
  • I am traveling.
  • I am going back to school. That scares me.
  • I may not be able to record while I am there, although I am taking equipment.
  • I may not be very able to answer emails.

Lastly, there is a problem with the site. One person complained, and I looked, and it looks like THIRTY NINE of you had your Fabulist subscriptions marked “expired.” The really bad thing is I can’t unexpire you. So I emailed support, and I will be giving an extra free month to all Fabulists affected when this is ironed out. But since I am about to go out of town, I’m not sure how much time I can give to this until I get back. I’m very sorry about this. But I know about it and I’m getting on support about it.

Oh, and I have one more feedback show to post for you, shortly!

I’ll miss your podcasts and advice, Mur. But, all the same, here’s hoping you come back even more a ninja than you already are!

School is scary but totally worth it! I’m looking at taking some online education courses through Standford in the next few months. Nothing like the adventure you’re starting, but the first schooling I’ve had in at least four years.

Just remember learning something new is like writing, you just gotta keep doing it till you’re good at it. Being an adult is no excuse for succeeding at only the things you’re good at. Or to put it another way, being an adult is no excuse for not failing at least once.
