ISBW #230 – Feedback
I am hitting the road tomorrow for grad school. Have some feedback!
ISBW #230
- 00:29 State of the Mur: plans for an upcoming Good Cop/Bad Cop
- 00:57 Promo: Marco and the Red Granny
- 02:24 FEEDBACK: prioritizing writing projects (editing vs. new writing, multitasking vs. single focus); listener-suggested resources for helping children write — Kids on the Net, Homeschooling-Ideas, Happy Birthday, Robot!; posting short stories on one’s blog (resource: Creative Commons Licenses); feeling like an impostor; writing for print vs. writing for audio; overcoming some hurdles of e-publishing/self-publishing; seeking cover blurbs from non-traditional sources; writing tools: yWriter, Scrivener; writing about science-as-magic (resource: TV Tropes); Scrivener for Dummies book to be released; deciding how many POV characters are too many for a reader to follow (recommended reading: The Coyote Kings of the Space-Age Bachelor Pad); being open about depression; handling a year-old anthology submission.

Hey Mur,
I agree completely about reading your work aloud. While it isn’t fiction work, I have found that in reading my book reviews for podcast I discover spots where my writing could use a bit of cleanup.
Woo-hoo Katniss
Sorry huge Hunger Games fan
Mur, this episode did not get piped into the Murverse feed. Actually, nothing new has come out of the Murverse feed since Christmas.
Thanks Marv. This is the only show I’ve put out this month, sadly. So it’s the only one youve missed at the Murverse feed.
