Hey Mur,
For me, at least, apology accepted. I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you’re repeating yourself, and I get annoyed when I have to too. I appreciate you having the ovaries to publicly apologize, though!
First, Happy (almost) Birthday! I hope you get a break soon. I don’t want fewer podcasts from you, but burnout is no good for any of us.
I thought of writing to tell you this a few times, but decided that you probably get so much mail, you don’t need my 2 cents. Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, sometimes when I hit a writing snag I think of sending a question in. Then I think to myself, “No, if I ask A, she’ll just say to do B.” So I struggle awhile longer and think of a new question. Then I think, “No, if I ask X, she’ll just tell me to do Y.” Then I brood and pout awhile. Then a light bulb comes on, and I think, “Hey! Why don’t I do B and Y?” So you are getting your messages through, even to stubborn, slow-witted writers like me. Maybe we need to tell you so more often. Thanks.
You have no need to appologize. Writers, individuals that attempt to have something to say, often times have issues hearing. Your input to us about the same questions that keep repeating themselves are factual. You were just being realistic. Despite what most believe, there are not a million ways to achieve success.
When I was in a professional school, I was young and naive. I kept looking for a way to get good grades on tests. I would waste hours and hours lamenting on how to get the secret knowledge of test taking.
The answer is all to clear. Get serious and get to work. You are our guide and mentor. You are our inspiration and at times our secret judge.
You have no need to appologize. You shouldn’t appologize for being right and for being human.
If you feel burned out, take the rest. We trust your judgement, but always know that while well meaning words and phrases are nice to hear, your honesty in telling us that much of our frustration is bs is one of your most impressive attributes.
Thank you for you. *big hugs* You are the bestest!!
