    Why exactly is it cool to dismiss literary fiction when it’s not cool to dismiss any other genre?

      @summer for the same reason it’s cool to mock any dominant group. Turning the tables on those with power or privilege or popularity is a time-honored tradition, the jester poking fun at the king.
