Sorry to hear about NaNo not working out for you. Try to look on it on the brightside though. Not being able to finish beucase of paying work is by a wide margin much better than say, not being able to write for nearly a month because your computer died and you had to ship it away to get it fixed.
Maybe next year.
Nano fail here as well, so I can sympathize with you. I had the same kind of problem with just too much all going on at once. Still planning on trying to finish this year’s book, and even try again next year.
If it’s any consolation, I wound up with even fewer words than you had (by a couple hundred).
