Holly Lisle switches gears, and, incidentally, so do I
First, after this coming Friday, Holly Lisle is not accepting any more new students to her highly praised “How To Think Sideways” course. So if you ever wanted to take it, now is the time. She will be ramping up a new course for new users: “How To Revise Your Novel.” HTTS students get a discount, so right now is the perfect time to enroll for both. Hurry, time is running out!
(Note- she’s only closing the doors to new students. From her newsletter: I’m NOT shutting down or eliminating the course. I’m most assuredly not kicking out people who are in there now. Everyone who has EVER taken Think Sideways still has and will have full access to the boards, to the lessons, to the movies, to the worksheets, to the manuscripts… Everything that’s in there is still going to be there.)
Speaking of revising a novel, I finished my HEAVEN series this weekend, finishing up the final season: War. I wrote 11,000 words in three days, which isn’t impressive to the hardcore NaNoWriMo vets, but pretty damn good for me. Now I’m suffering from post-project letdown, where I am kinda sad and want to sleep a lot. The gray weather and nightmares about insecurity and spiders don’t help…. but I’m getting too personal. Regardless, I am finally getting started on novel rewrites for Project Underground, which I suppose I should officially name this month, shouldn’t I?
