News From Poughkeepsie, Sunday Edition #2

Yeah, I know it’s Monday. Been a busy weekend. We’ll get to Monday’s regularly scheduled NFP later this afternoon.

Our theme over the past week was the question “Who Are The Regulators,” and we had some really good ideas along those lines. My personal favorite came from Jason (Anthraxus):

Mark and his gang of friends spent most of the summer doing what kids do: exploring, roughhousing, and generally hanging around. While fun, the summer had been pretty boring. That was until the moon turned to blood and the creatures of the night became real.

None of the adults noticed the sudden spike in kids disappearing, just brushing it off as a weird rash of runaways or something. But Mark knew better. He had spotted the clawed hands of the ghouls in the sewers dragging little Colin Dashley away yesterday, and the mime that ate Gwen Marsh in the park a week ago. And he knows something needs to be done.

Mark and his friends are going to take the fight to them, make them respect the boundries again. Someone needs to regulate the monsters, and Regulators are going to try…

I’m a sucker for kid monster hunters, really.
