The Great Old One will rise. That much is certain. But until it awakens, it has sent minions to do its work on Earth. They are monsters of every shape and size, but none so peculiar as the one who walks like a man. He carries with him no name, only a single minded purpose: to learn everything about the souls his Master will one day devour. His is a quest for knowledge, and his very life a whim of a greater creature to fulfill that quest.

But what the Great Old One could not fathom is that while its creation walked this planet for century after century learning of humankind, his journey changed him. Perhaps he is devoting himself too much to his quest. Perhaps he has abandoned it. Whatever the reason, the man who know call himself the C’thulian, has found himself using his limitless strength to protect humans. Often protecting them from the very monsters that are his kith and kin.

The Great Old One will rise. And when it does, it too will have to face the C’thulian.
