Time travel works like this:

Arianna has been traveling through time her entire life. Through every single life she’s had.

Arianna was born on January 1st, year 1, and her first-born daughter has always been her: a perfect duplicate, retaining all of her mother’s memories. And so, the collective memories of 100 Ariannas–100 lifetimes, course through the synapses of the latest Arianna, who has just moved out of her parent’s house into her own life.

But this latest Arianna finds that she can do more than remember her previous lives: she can change them. She can take control of her memories and alter events and, in her own way, alter the world. Arianna finds herself changing the world we live in, by changing the world she remembers.

Or is she merely going crazy from having lived too many lives?

I like this! Very cool, but erm… what is “News from Poughkeepsie?” I hope I don’t sound dumb or lippy. I’m just new and curious!

PS I grew up in a town right next to Poughkeepsie ny…

  3. V – Yep. Next week it’ll be something different.

Kelly – From Mur’s original NFP post

“I get a lot of email from people who are afraid to join peer writing groups because they’re afraid someone will steal their ideas. I’ve heard authors say that they get a lot of people saying, “Hey, I’ve got this great idea for a book, how about I tell you, and you write it, and we’ll split it 50/50?”

And I’m here to say ideas are cheap – it’s the work that’s hard. And to prove it, I’m going to blog an idea a day.”

So that’s it, basically. A free idea, every day (though I’m taking weekends off), for you to use, ignore or be inspired by.

The title itself comes from a joke we’ve heard from several writers. When asked “Where do you get your ideas?” the common response is “There’s a newsletter that comes out of Poughkeepsie…”

Now I understand… and like even more. Keep the creative juices flowing.
