The links, the news, the travel
First, I’m off to Balticon tomorrow, where I’ll be teaching an ISBW workshop (now full, sorry — and also, eep!) with David Moldawer and Matt Wallace, talking on a couple of panels and doing a reading. If you’re there, I hope you will say hi!
Second, I have some plans for this blog come June 1. Yeah, that’s when WAR launches, call me crazy. ISBW the blog will be changing a bit then, too. I encourage you to subscribe via RSS or email so you don’t miss anything. And yes it’s a secret, I have to TANTALIZE. It’s how I roll.
Third- links links links! (Incidentally, I need to do a blog post about industry pros you need to follow for writing advice links. But not now.)
- A bit of common sense publicity advice from the Books and Such Literary Agency.
- Don’t get me started on the irony, but O’Reilly did a lengthy study about the effect free ebook distribution has on book sales, and has released the findings in a $99 PDF. I’m waiting to hear people talk about it, myself, but I am interested in the results.
- Writing your “About” page on your website from Write to Done
That’s it for now, but there’s always more on the horizon. Hope to see you at Balticon!
