  1. Have a great time at Viable Paradise and enjoy your sabbatical. As somebody who was educated in studio environments and now teaches in one, the best advice I have ever gotten was to “take nothing personally, even when it is meant personally.”

  2. Hi, Mur! Love your podcast as always and particularly enjoyed hearing your workshop comments. Good luck at Viable Paradise! Special request: I’d love to hear a future show someday that compares the features of the big writing workshops/camps. They’re expensive and a huge investment of time, so I’m like most folks — I’d have to choose carefully if I’m ever able to go.

Just one bit of feedback on this show: I didn’t hear you mention what NaNoWriMo actually is, for the listeners who’ve never heard of it before. (As my husband often wryly comments about me and my nerdy writing pursuits, “You entered the Dork Forest … and didn’t leave a breadcrumb trail.”) Thanks for the reminder about this annual novel writing event, though — I regretted not participating last year and need to start gearing up for 2006.

    Best,
    Carolyn B.

  3. Mur, the feed doesn’t seem to be working for this show and the interview.

  4. Discovered your podcast by accident but loving it.
