I went through the same thing not too long ago. Every day for about two weeks, I was hit with fifty or more spam comments per day. That was just one of my sites.
I use WordPress on my sites, and I have found there are several good tools using it. It’s been years since I’ve actually used my blogger account to post material. One would think they’d have better tools than just moderating comments. I say we start a riot.
