I Should Be Writing Daily Experiment #1

I decided to toy with the idea of putting a quick podcast up daily to give you guys inspiration. It’s short, it’s sweet, and the keyboard tray makes a lot of noise. It’s also a Garageband experiment, and i can’t figure out how to do the stuff I was able to do in Audacity, so we’ll see how it turns out.

  1. Loved it! I’ve read essentially the same advice for years (and given it LOL), but hearing you reiterate that it’s okay to suck was just the cat’s pajamas this afternoon. Please do more of these little tidbits. And, of course, write. *smile*

  2. Excellent! I thought the podcast was good, and I like the idea behind it as well. They’re sort of like little daily “boosts” to keep us all from procrastinating too much. XD A lot of times you just need to be reminded of the basics, even if they are common sense things like “butt in chair” and “it’s OK to suck”.

Oh, and the audio also sounded good, so no problems on that front. =D Good luck with the new software.

  3. Great idea, good podcast. But, for your sake and ours, holding it to a couple of minutes would be even better. A “go get ‘em, Tiger” to help me put BIC is just what I need everyday.

  4. Its really a good idea. Stay tuned. I have enjoyed you listening.

  5. Oh my god the keyboard tray noise ruined the entire show!

Nah, just kidding, I didn’t notice any noise. You podcasters worry about little technical things too much sometimes. :)

I really enjoyed the experiment. I’m wondering if it will be a new podcast, or if it will be merged with the main ISBW one. Sometimes I miss shows because my mp3 players lists shows alphabetically, and if they all have different names it’s hard to keep track of which one I’m on.

Not a complaint about the show…more about my own stupidity.

  6. I always enjoy your podcasts and I love your idea for the daily writing segments. Please keep them coming! I loved the ‘it’s okay to suck’. I really needed that!

  7. I love the more informal tone of these minicasts (minipods?).

Very funny podcast and I like the running metaphor. I’d also add that nobody is ever perfect. :)

Since I work retail as a day job, I see a lot of different people come in. It’s interesting to try and deal with that creatively.

    Keep on writing/podcasting!

  8. Oooh, I rally love these short daily segments!
I hope you’re able to keep them up for a while, but don’t exhaust yourself. While podcasting seems to always be a breeze for you (I wish it was the same for me!), don’t procrastinate too much with it. ^_-
After all, you should be writing, too.
