Miss Snark gives us some schoolin’

Listener Kendall pointed out to me that Miss Snark proclaims the last word on word count, and it is a big relief to those of us who prefer Word’s feature over multiplying pages by 250.

Seriously, if you’re not reading Miss Snark, what’s wrong with you?

  1. I love the statement ‘Obsess over your writing instead and you’ll be much better off.’

That about sums up word count and writer’s obsession about word counts.

  2. Um, what wrong with me? Maybe it is the name “Ms. Snark”. Really, honestly, this is something the literary world could use less of (snark, hair-pulling).

  3. Miss Snark should be required reading, along with the Writer Beware Blog.

Lot of good information put out there with just enough self-depreciating humor and the occasional smack upside the head some writers need.

I did like the first reply to that particular blog entry also. Sometimes reading the commentary by some of Miss Snark’s long time readers is almost as good as the entries themselves
