More Wiki Goodness

Listener John wrote to say:

In brief, there is a windows based, open-source wiki named ‘Wikidpad’ that your users may be interested in. For windows writers, ‘PDesk’ is another freeware wiki-alternative AND it comes with palm syncing partner ‘Progect’. For folks that like to keep their on-the-go notes electronically.

Wikidpad for Windows

PDesk for linux/windows/mac

Progect for Palm OS

Thanks, John!

  1. If you’re a computer hopper, like I am, you might be looking for a nice, free, web-based wiki. http://www.pbwiki.com is what I use. You can pay $50/year for your wiki, but for most folks the free version will do just fine.

I wrote a little mini-review for work, if anyone is interested: http://www.computerworld.com/developmenttopics/websitemgmt/story/0,10801,106257,00.html

(Sorry, our URLs are horribly long)

Anyway, I’ve used this since the fall and so far its been very reliable and very useful.
