I just "love" it when net problems like that happen.[/sarcasm]

I'm always a big booster of NaNo (so far a 2-time winner, hoping to threepeat this year), so I try to make sure all links to it that I find work as well.

Good catch Jeff. I checked the link and it went to nanowrimo. I was very confused, and discovered this on their site, dated today:

"Hey there! For anyone who tried to access the site yesterday and discovered a holding page for GoDaddy, have no fear: We haven't abandoned ship. GoDaddy is our domain name registrar, and apparently they or one of their partners made a mistake that resulted in the site going off-line. Doh!"

Just a small correction: NaNoWriMo is .org, not .com . The link as given just goes to a domain sale page.

Mur, I discovered your podcast on iTunes by typing in "writing." I am a writer who loves to read and write about writing. I dig your 'cast because it's right up my alley. And in all honesty, I'm not huge on fiction writing even though I love the genre. No, I am a sports writer for a local newspaper. I once tried my hand at fiction writing but was frustrated by the . . . frustration, I guess, so I decided to take the easy way out and get into a racket where I am "published" 200+ times a year! A lot of people think I am a sports writer because I love sports, which I do, but really I do it because I love writing. Anyway, that said, I continue to enjoy your podcast. Hope to hear more of it soon!

It was good to hear Mike speak of 'binge writing'. I get a lot of friends telling me to just sit down and make sure I write "something" every day. Then I started reading here and saw your word counter (don't stop that btw..it's fun to see) and started getting depressed.

But it is true that I'm thinking, contemplating, and writing notes all week about what I'm going to write next, and when I do write I usually put out 2k+ words in one sitting.

Anyway...blabbing. To make it short, the interview with Mike made me feel better about writing the way I do, so thanks for that.:) It's good to know that a professional writer believes that you can write before you type.

-Sid C.
Heh, thanks. I'm not really pimping this show on podcast alley. I'm hoping word of mouth will work, since it's pretty much a niche podcast.

(hint hint - tell your friends)
